Having issues with ota updates. Stuck at 2.0. Went to the dealer for a state inspection and mentioned my issues.

Here’s a pic of my invoice today
Am I crazy or is the dealer making me feel crazy?

Also there is a recall related to software issues they just ignored that. I got stonewalled.. the service guy said, talk to a salesman since this is a 21 and you have the latest updates already. Wtf! I’ve had the truck for just over a year. ?

Post your VIN, someone will show how many modules you have to update. I'm going to guess you'll have 7.

HA! I was just thinking maybe I will need to spring for the Mongoose so I can get 2 day FDRS passes to update everything myself. Then I can rent out the Mongoose as a little "cottage business" :)

I don't have FDRS to check what modules need updating, but I can tell you the dealer didn't do a thing to your truck when you took it with FDRS. Try a different service advisor or a different dealer.

Same bull $#it I'm dealing with. I had my truck in
1. for them to tell me they didn't have the right cables
2. tell me the APIM needed to be replaced.
3. Supposedly replaced the APIM and everything was good to go...it wasn't
4. To tell me the APIM they replaced was bad, and a new one is on back order....until god knows when.

SO I finally schedule an appointment at a different dealer for 18th of August here...we'll see how far I get there...I'm not going to hold my breath though.

Any have any thoughts here? BlueCruise? Forget about it. Seat belt warnings in back seat when no one or nothing is in the back seat. Yep. Many other little glitches on a daily basis. Owned the vehicle for 1 week. Told them today, "how long should I wait for Ford to even respond to the issue before I bring the truck back to you and get my money back? You guys are selling faulty trucks off the lot knowing you will not be able to update them"

Be glad they didnt address the unintended tailgate. You being a Powerboost you would have had a dead truck with no solution.

I agree with the point of glad the truck isn't dead due to a bad dealer update job. Unfortunately, I feel like the BCM issue is going to stick around until this exact thing happens to a few/several people and dealers start calling in with WTF.

Is there anyway you can look up my truck? I put the VIN in a previous thread and I've only owned this thing for 2 weeks.

Also, I know everyone in this room has already thanked you but man, our world needs more people who are willing and able to jump in and help people if they have knowledge that others dont. I thank you sir.

You do have an ABS update but that isnt an OTA update. This is an update that was just released for all except PowerBoost. Your truck was build 6/19/22 so there are not really any updates for the new builds as those ship with the latest software at that time. The updates that are out are for Job 1/Job 2 2021 Builds to get them to the 2022 levels. Some early build 22 also have updates that are to get them to the late 22 levels.

I think people are misunderstanding that there are not going to be a non stop flow of updates. The 22 builds have most of the issues ironed out that early builds had. The 21 job 1 updates that were coming in waves were to get the Blue Cruise situation situated mostly along with whatever issues that were present.

Ok I wasnt aware. Let me look at the codes you have present. I can see what DTCs you have and let you know what is going on possibly.
