One thing I cannot stand about BlueCruise is the speed limit assist and I do not know how to turn this feature off...

The truck will see a change in speed limit sign and harshly apply brake where maybe the speed limit dropped from 70 to 55 for a construction zone, and if the speed limit increases, the truck will absolutely floor it to get up to speed. I like the speedometer showing the speed limit, but I'd honestly prefer if the truck did not change speed at all

I have gone into "Driver Assistance" and toggled both on/off speed limit alert or whatever it is called exactly, and haven't noticed a change. Anyone else experience this?

Sounds like it’s just mimicking most drivers I’m around on the highway ?

I think if you go to: DRIVER ASSISTANCE, CRUISE CONTROL and switch from INTELLIGENT to ADAPTIVE...it should stop reading signs. Will probably still show a limit but based on GPS map.

Is the behavior the same no matter the following distance selected?

Mine does not do this, and I don’t remember turning that off.

21 Job 2 truck if that matters.

Not 2021 2202 or job x related. Adaptive cruise slows/stops due to traffic ahead. Speed sign recognition adjusts the cruise speed when no traffic is in the way. And "Intelligent Cruise" term isn't used any more. Ford calls it Adaptive with Speed Sign recognition now. You need to turn off speed sign recognition for the cruise control function.

From the manual:
SWITCHING INTELLIGENT MODE ON AND OFF
1. Press Features on the touchscreen.
2. Press Driver Assistance.
3. Press Cruise Control.
4. Press Adaptive Cruise Control.
5. Press Speed Sign Recognition.

The speed limit info displayed in the IPC isn't impacted by this change.

If you turn off the Speed sign recognition in the cruise control menu the signs still show on the dash but the cruise control will stop adjusting your speed as you drive. I tried it for a little while but I didn’t like it either

You would rather not change speed in a construction zone?

Serious? You can manually handle those zones and not have your nose on the steering wheel during deceleration. ?

All day.
I don’t use this feature in fear of being rear ended.

In the very least pissing someone off and getting the finger or followed into a gas station..

I use the 4 bars for adaptive cruise and the accel/decel is on the aggressive side like OP mentions, for speed limit changes at least. Doesn't seem as bad with traffic, but I haven't let the truck take control in a scenario where the car in front of me slows down rapidly. Still makes me nervous lol.

One thing I have noticed is that, although the breaking and accelerating is a little harsher than if I were doing it manually, the Eco Display still shows 99% for accel and decel when the speed control is operating.

When I see the speed change ahead, I poke the cancel button and let the truck coast to the proper speed limit... Once the speed is close again, I poke the same button and it's just fine. As for accellerating, lift your own foot, use the pedal on the right, get close to the speed you want to go and at the rate of change you want to see and poke that same cancel/enable button and you can go back to putting your foot somewhere else.
