Question: what are you syncing maybe Apple CarPlay and if so, what are you using for the default mapping scheme? I found that if I use Apple Maps, the speed limit is constantly wrong on the display. But, if I use Waze, the speed limit display is always right and I believe it’s an issue with Apple maps and Apple CarPlay. I don’t know if you have any of those things going on, but this is my observation in using Apple CarPlay, and which I’m using for a default mapping to the Ford sync.Is there a way to turn off the speed limit display in the cluster? Mine is wrong 80% of the time and it is just annoying to look at.
I have a 2021 Lariat, no adaptive cruise or blue cruise.
I use Android Auto and Google Maps, which I think is the same data as Waze. I don't notice a difference whether or not my phone is connected. It doesn't seem like my cluster is getting speed data from Google Maps.Question: what are you syncing maybe Apple CarPlay and if so, what are you using for the default mapping scheme? You could try clearing the data for AA on your phone. I use AA on a LG Velvet, and the speed signs are correct. My truck is correct when I am not using AA. I do connect by wire to the truck when I am using AA, if that makes any difference.I use Android Auto and Google Maps, which I think is the same data as Waze. Yeah, the speed signs on the Sync screen from Google Maps will be correct, but those don't correspond to the speed signs next to the speedometer. You could try clearing the data for AA on your phone. BTW.... I wish that the speed signs stay on the IPC when using AA. When using AA, the speed sign moves to the sync screen, bottom right corner on my truck, PITA. But that is another thread....lol
When I use AA, the speed sign beside the speedometer disappears.Yeah, the speed signs on the Sync screen from Google Maps will be correct, but those don't correspond to the speed signs next to the speedometer.
Mine is the same way. My understanding is the same as @HammaMan stated, it is tied to the built in navigation database.Yeah, the speed signs on the Sync screen from Google Maps will be correct, but those don't correspond to the speed signs next to the speedometer.
