When I see the speed change ahead, I poke the cancel button and let the truck coast to the proper speed limit... Once the speed is close again, I poke the same button and it's just fine. As for accellerating, lift your own foot, use the pedal on the right, get close to the speed you want to go and at the rate of change you want to see and poke that same cancel/enable button and you can go back to putting your foot somewhere else.
You can also use ECO Mode because it seems the speed limit assist is disabled in that mode.

Speed limit assist still works in eco mode in my 2021.

It seems to accelerate less aggressively than normal mode to me.

Has anyone else noticed this?

No Blue Cruse in my truck, so this is with Active Assist 2.0.

On my 2022 Powerboost with Copilot360 Assist 2.0 the speed limit assist definitely is disabled in Eco Mode. Works only in Normal mode.

On my ‘21 EB, the speed limit assist works in eco mode. I have BlueCruise but it also works in eco mode when just in the lane assist mode.

My issue with speed assist is that it confuses weight limit signs for speed limit signs. Around here, the weight limit signs are shaped like speed limit signs and are white with black lettering. The system seems to not know the difference between MPH and Tons.

I have an outer road next to I-10 in one spot that is 40mph. But, the truck sees the 70mph sign from the interstate.

The real fun begins when your towing a trailer. Everyone has their own methods, but I prefer to stay to 68 mph and under, its never done me wrong since 2014 (knock on wood). Occasionally the speed limit becomes 75, and I look down and whoa...bit too fast for my liking. Even 70 is a bit too much imo, at least for prolonged usage.
