My 21’ 5.0 has been having the occasional clunky harsh downshift, I think 4-3, maybe once or twice a week.
I am coming up on 45,000 miles and am planning to do front/rear diffs as well as trans fluid at 50,000.

I realize this now, 5 min was not long enough to wait. I should have waited a full 30. 21’s take 7.7 qts, I’ve always checked it full after changing it myself too.
Went from 24,500 to 30,500 miles and here’s my dipstick before draining. I let sit on level ground for 5 min after letting it get warm and run for 10 or so.

hmm, maybe a dab of silicone/rtv and leaving something heavy overnight would be enough, it’s not really an issue, just looks funny and it catches whenever I wash the truck. Not really noticeable at all unless you’re up there.

lol mine does that too, so I guess that’s just the design? Definitely annoying when I wash the truck, have to carefully bend the wiper around the antenna.
