I'm debating if the package is worth it. I won't be getting the active prep package, just the assist one. How's the lane keeping? Is it dependable on highway trips?

It’s an interesting package. The lane keeping work well. You can adjust the amount of assist you want in the settings. It’ll correct you and keep you from wandering into the next lane or shoulder.

The adaptive cruise works really well, too. The truck will literally drive itself until it yells at you to put your hands back on the wheel. ?

I haven’t had experience yet with the collision avoidance features so I can’t comment on that.

The speed limit sign recognition works well, but sometimes gets annoying when you see the alert flashing on the instrument cluster.

I know there are more features but these are the ones off the top of my head to comment on.

I added this package as well to my XLT. Still waiting for a build date so no hands on review yet. We have those features on our suv and at first I hated it but came around to like it. Note there is a $250 rebate for the assist so the price is only $500. Also it includes connected navigation which by itself is $795. Pricing is so weird on some of these items.

I appreciate this tech. I come from the Tesla world and, while not quite as good, it is a huge assist on the long trips and narrow roads. Takes a bit of getting used to when crossing lanes without the turn signal but overall, really good.

I would recommend it.

I have a Tesla too. So does the lane keep assist follow curves on highways?

Does the lane keep assist follow curves on highways? Or is it more for straight roads

Yes, it does keep the lanes and follows the turns and it does a decent job of it. It does everything Tesla does except take the exits.

In the city, with the dynamic cruise control, it will come to a complete stop. It will also accelerate from a complete stop with just a touch of a button. There are several Similarities to the Tesla system.

The Adaptive Cruise and Lane Centering gives a pretty good idea of what fully autonomous driving will be like. Crazy stuff.

I ordered it just to have adaptive cruise. Also, when I ordered there was a discount applied that brought it down to $500. Seeing that it also includes navigation, it was a pretty good deal.

I guess i am in the minority. I think it is a waste of money. I ordered my RCSB in XL mainly becuase co-pilot was forced in the XLT trim.

Lane centering? If you cant keep vehicle in the center of the lane, put the cell phone down and pay attention. If you still have issues take the buss.

Adaptive cruise? Again, pay attention. Never needed this in my 35 yrs of driving.

I dont get why people want this. If you dont want to drive, call uber or take the buss.

You do realize there will be a program in there somewhere that is designed to kill you? Of all the scenarios programmed, no way 100% of the outcomes benefit the passenger. Yes, i did not say driver.
