I appreciate it. Yes I’ll take a look and let you know. I’m glad I can help.

I don’t even want a kick back from ford I just want them to stop coming after me all the time. They have calmed down though a bit. So weshall see.

i know I have your vin somewhere but it wouldn’t mind sending it again so I don’t have to look for it my messages get moved quickly

You Look good. Looks like the PSCM may not have been updated. Run a PMI on it. To Make Sure.

THe only thing for As Build I would recommend is the IpMA That last bit changed to E and yours is still C

8A50 A219 AEXX

Other than than it looks good.
Thanks for this. What should I be looking for in the PSCM to know if it updated or not after a PMI? I guess what alerted you?

@JScaro

TRM - ML3T-19J297-BA (currently installed no update)

You seem to have an Apim and TCU and ABS available.

No you can see right away.. If you see an actually update taking place like the Files loading you know it wasnt touched. I could go through your history but the PSCM has been missed by several due to it being apart of the 4 module update. FDRS says its done even when it isnt. The only way to update it would be a PMI it will see its out of date and update it. Select NO to is original module installed.

Should I select new module or existing when doing the PMI?

Is FDRS up and running? I thought Ford was taking it down this weekend for maintenance.

@Jesse-Infotainment Could you look at my VIN 1FTFW1ED4MFB00065 ? Just got it back from the dealer after 2 days for the BlueCruise update along with the trailer module recall. They said the trailer recall is completed but hearing conflicting info if its even ready so who cares.

More concern with the BlueCruise update, they said the module update keeps failing and pretty much gave up. Said I'd have to leave it with them for longer if I want them to continue. Might give them another chance then go with the Mongoose and FDRS route with the rest of you smart fellas.

I'm almost to the point where the $500 Mongoose + $50 for another 2 day FDRS license cost less than the time wasted at the dealer and going without a ride. Got 2 day FDRS license a month or so ago just to check it out and see history info but nothing more than that.

Given the future updates suggested by Ford, the complexity of the BC equipped F-150's and the relative incompetence/lack of interest by dealers to provision this machine, it would appear every owner needs a Mongoose to fully enjoy the machine. Once you use it the first time it is no big deal to keep the firmware up to date in the future.

I get why dealers are not interested in doing it. It's probably a money losing task for them since it takes so much babysitting for a tech when they can work on other billable items. These warranty work and other misc customer satisfaction programs from Ford is probably capped at a specific rate that dealers can charge.

Seems very reasonable why Ford recently let go 580+ in the engineering group, most likely due to this crappy roll out. Feel sorry those folks....

If you want blue cruise you are far away at this point. You have had no updates done. You need IPC, ipma, ccm, cmr, pscm and so on.

I think you’d be best to always do it yourself. That way you aren’t so dependent on dealers. You also have the ability to have the best information in the future if a light comes on or you need help to get an idea of a problem.

I know $500 is a lot of money but in comparison to the time lost using your truck($70k) it’s a drop in the bucket.

I’m not sure if you are making payments on your truck but a monthly payment paid while your truck is being supposedly updatedonly to not be and still neeD updates. So I’m willing to help if you do it .
