ECU module programming guide using FDRS

Ok thanks Snake. Trying to see if other non 360 trucks without BlueCruise have an update beyond 21281.
I am still on 21281 and figured all trucks would get the same Sync version but with different features turned on or off.
Perhaps the focus is getting the BlueCruise out the door since they are WAY behind getting that feature out to customers.

I wouldn’t doubt that the members on this forum are some of the first to get it working.

Anyone with a non Blue Cruise 360 camera truck. Are you also stuck on Sync 21281 rev244 or are you on a higher version?

I'm non BluesClues and non 360 camera. I updated back on 2/27 with the Nano to get past the 1.7 but haven't received anything since. I got a mongoose and I'm going to start my next round of updates when I can dedicate the time. Seems like most people run into issues when rushed.

So I've been very vocal in my criticism of Ford this week for how hokey the FDRS update process is. I spent 4 days furious that they wouldn't give me the next set of APIM and GTW updates in FDRS even though I had completed everything in the queue. Thanks to @Bob_Mac I was finally clued into the fact that my IPC was corrupt. It wasn't the kind of corruption we saw with the Nano where there were a bunch spaces or junk characters in the data, but my IPC had one part number (F120) that was updated, and the second part number (F188) was still at the old rev, and corrupted by one letter. This was why the updates wouldn't come through. @Jesse-Infotainment was able to help me work around FDRS to load the F188 file and bypass FDRS. Within five minutes of getting the IPC part numbers to show up correctly FDRS offered me the next APIM update.

So long story short, pay attention to what the guys here advise you to do, and if your updates are not showing up, there is probably a reason, dig into the details.

As for Ford. I'm sorry I called you snakes who were holding back my updates just to get another 2 day FDRS license sale from me. But your update system is still clunky and confusing, and I pity your dealership techs who have to deal with it.

What was your F188 part number? Mine is ML3T-14C026-BAK. I don't have the F120 listed in my IPC list. Maybe that's why I'm not getting any updates beyond what I got last week???

I'm an XLT with non-bluecruise and non-360. I'm stuck at 244 and have been for at least a month (after doing my initial updates via the nano.). I got my mongoose over a week ago, applied a few updates, but have not been presented with any additional updates to move beyond 244. My VIN is 1FTFW1E86MKD74376.

Someone in a different post mentioned their IPC has a F120 line in addition to F188. I've only got F188 so I'm wondering if my IPC has some sort of issue that's preventing me from getting any further updates.

For my 12" cluster I had

F120: MU5T-10F906-FDA
F188: ML3T-14C026-CPB (This one the corrupt one)

I do have the mongoose so all should go well there. I'm cheap too so I only do the 2-day license but dedicate all my time to it.

Also, was there ever a conclusion on whether FORSkin updates affected the outcome of FDRS updates, especially in the IPC?
