Any tips on the best website to order these OEM light parts, please?
Ive said this a million times, me personally I have had the best luck with my local dealer. They have matched or come close to online prices(dont forget a lot of the online places charge insane shipping), and my local dealer has never cancelled and order on me because something was backordered. the online guys seem to do this all the time.

Thank you, will do. I have the OEM foot well lamp part numbers, but missing the media bin and cup holder light part numbers.

Do I just ask the parts counter for "the media bin light fixture and the cup holder light fixture(s)"? Or are their other little parts or trim pieces critical to the installation I should know about? Does the cup holder job replace the whole cup holder, or are you just adding lights to the existing cup holder assembly? Thanks again

I'm doing:
  1. Driver and passenger footwell lights
  2. Media bin light
  3. Cup holder lights

There are slits in the front door panels (above the pockets, you can feel it if you reach) and 3 screw holes to accept an LED accent/ambient light assembly -- anyone found anything on those?

In my MME the doors pocket areas are illuminated as well. All of the accent lights are full RGB however and can be changed colors via the settings in the center display.

Looked into them plenty of times, this is more work than I have time to tackle so this is not a harness im interested in building.

If you order from the dealer let me know what they say on the driver side light. I ordered from parts.ford.com and that one got damaged and had to return. Tried two dealerships and both told me that one was on back order until February 15th. I would use parts.ford.com but it was a pain in the ass to return a damaged item.

Given that the window and door locks illuminate, simply tapping their feed is more than enough to power them ;)

screw holes and slit location (slit not visible but location noted)

Pick of rear door treated, some may say it's overboard.

sure if youre using regular LED lights, ambient lights are not regular lights.

Have you checked voltages and frequency of these?

I know for the MME, the chinese sell all sorts of RGB strips that allow seamless integration into the factory plugs so you can add additional lighting wherever you want and it follows the RGB scheme as set in the display. There's also non RGB options

Loads of info here

Yes, I think youre missing what im trying to say. If you want to install the factory ambient lights in the open slow in your panel, you are going to have to add wiring. if you want a simple LEDs in the door panel by all means tap into a 12V +/- if you want factory ambient lighting in the doors youre going to have to the the LIN wire into the door. I do not have an F150, if someone wants to look at the connector going into the door and see if the AMB LIN is there then by all means have at it. but im telling you right now the factory ambient lighting is not a simple 12v LED, it must have the middle wire(LIN) or it will not work/function.

Thanks, I'll probe and play with everything in the doors to try and find something that's 12v only live. It's tough to get wires through the rubber boot that enters the doors. I'm wiring in speakers right now and I'm adding an ethernet cable into the mix so that I've got 4 pairs of wires that can be used to trigger various things including control of my compressors, LFP batt manual on, manual step deploy, etc....

On the roadmap is to put a 15kWh battery bank in the bed with 13kWh worth of inverters (might go with 5kWh pack as it's 130lbs lighter). The PPOB 7.5kW generator is an option for charging it, but I'm looking at tapping the HV system and feeding it into the solar ports of the inverters to up the output of my system to 13kW + the 7.5kW the PPOB inverter can feed for a total output of 20kW of 240v split phase AC. I've only seen a peek of about 40 amps coming out of the generator at 1k rpm idle (~11kW) so I'll have to see what's possible when pushed.

@JHForman812 found the wire for LED illumination. Works on 12v LED strips, dims properly, etc...
This is the 12v wire, any ground will do. (this is from rear door in crew cab)

Other connector on front door. Seems to be violet / white on the front, but looked violet / gray on rear. Need wiring manual to confirm

Yes, there's only 1 connector in the rear doors and it goes to window. Post updated w/ the front (there's 2 lighted switches w/ 2 separate connectors)
Looks like violet white front, violet gray rear. Position shown in pics

Just a random 12v LED strip I had laying around. Only connected the blue, but one could power up any of the 3 colors they wanted. This isn't an aRGB strip which are 5v and need a controller, this is just a cheap 12v LED strip.

on the rear door connector(green), use the VT-GY(switch illumination) wire and the BK-VT (ground)

Here's what it kinda looks like, camera is over-exposing it. I have the door panels off inside, this is the rear passenger side. I matched the truck's voltage on high, not as bright as the photo makes it look though, still looks good.

Cam doesn't really capture it for shit though. Looks more like the MME doors
