I know those units are vented, but I don’t see why they need to be.

Back in the old days of tungsten and later halogen lamps, heat was a major issue to be addressed in the design. Ie the vents and the need to change out a burned out bulb.

Now with LED units the heat isn’t nearly the issue it was, I don’t see why they couldn’t make the housing a single piece construction, purged with Argon and factory sealed (like the windows in your house.)

LED’s should outlast the service life of the vehicle, so the ability to replace the “bulb” should not be a big deal.
They're vented because leds don't generate heat the same way halogen and incandescent bulbs do. Their lack of heat production = lack of availability to speed the evaporation process up.

I just noticed this in both headlights and both fog lights this evening. Frozen over, but equally as significant as the OPs images. We did have fluctuating temperatures today with frigid temps so hoping this is normal/will resolve itself.

I noticed the same on mine tonight for the first time. Newly installed projector LEDs that have been on the truck for less than a month. Mine wasn’t as significant as OP’s. But still there

Yeah.... I don't like this either. Ford has a lot of weird stuff they consider "normal" that doesn't seem to happen on other car brands. I guess if normal I can live with it but I don't like it. It looks cheap. Bummer they didn't do anything for 2024.
