Having finally got some highway time after the tune and lift, I've had time to stop and pay attention to what this truck does in varying circumstances. I've found that 3rd gear redlines at ~82mph, and 4th is good up to ~105mph. In manual mode, my request for 3rd gear is granted below ~65mph.

Why then when I floor it at 60mph do I get.. 6th. The obvious choice would be 3rd, or at least 4th as I'm likely done with whatever I'm doing before 105mph. 3rd from 60 to 82 is exactly what I'm likely after (passing someone Facebooking in the left lane) @diambo4life did you work through this? Should I ask Livernois if they have an opinion? Sport mode gets 5th sometimes.

Common sense says the truck is shifting to the most optimal mall gear and RPM range to provide the most torque/HP for the demand.

The red line point is never where the engine makes the most torque or HP. Up may care to research the topic a bit.
