Wireless Connection Failed

I had for the past month issues with the cars wireless connection used to connect Android Auto , etc. After using it for a few mins, i get a wireless connection failure on the screen . Trying to figure out how to reset this , i tried turning it off and on , resetting password and no joy. Anyone else with this issue ? my phone seems ok, i connect to house wifi and other devices and its fine… thanks in advance

I have an iphone & frequently get the similar corresponding error message. I mentioned it to my dealer to see if this was a known issue & if there was any suggested fix. My dealer of course said about what I expected, "You need to get a knew phone", without asking how old my phone is. With that said, my phone is about 10 years old, & probably is due for an upgrade. I sincerely hope that fixes the issue, as it seems to happen at the absolute worst possible moment & royally ticks me off.

Have had a similar issue the past 2 weeks with CarPlay. Sometimes it won't connect and I get that same message, other times music is skipping like I'm shaking an old portable cd player! I had success by turning the WIFI off and on and doing a hard reset on my phone as well as resetting the Sync screen (hold power and forward until screen black). I just did this yesterday so will follow up if the gremlin appears again. I'm version 3.5.2 and did the epic theme in Forscan, everything else is working flawlessly.

Mine does that if I leave the truck running and go indoors for a moment (out of blue tooth range) and come back. I just turn off Blue tooth on the phone and reconnect then it works fine.

I haven't been able to connect wireless Apple CarPlay with my iPhone 11 Pro since about 6 months after I bought the truck. I always plug it in anyways and it works that way so I just never bothered to look into it much. Would be nice to get that back I guess.

About once every month mine does this with Carplay. It's a total pain in the ass. In most cases I have had to delete the truck from the phone as well as in reverse. Then shut the truck off open/close the driver's door to force shutdown as well as reboot my phone. Then go through the entire phone setup to reconnect it to the truck. I then have to repeat this about 4-5 times for it to finally successfully reconnect and work as it should.

The latest episode I said screw it and used BT audio as that still worked until I got home figuring I'd screw with it later. Shut the truck off and went inside for about 30 min. Cabe back out and everything just worked like it never happened. There must be a module in the APIM that fails to boot correctly or a glitch in sync4 that is causing this as it never did this with Sync3.

The next time it does this I'll just skip trying to fix it at the time and let it see if it sorts itself out by sitting for 30 or so minutes with the truck off.

Count me in "wireless connection fialed" happens quite frequently and very randomly. Also Android Auto will nolonger send or receive sms text messages connected or not. When I push the button on the and say "Text dad" answer "unable to access contacts". Please download contacts. Permission is inabled on phone in fordpass, Bluetooth, and Android Auto. When I turn off AA the truck shows all contacts in screen

I've had this same issue since buying the truck new in (I think) march, maybe it was Feb. I've always just used Bluetooth, but for $60k I would love to be able to use AA. If theres any fix at all I'd love to know

The issue hasn't happened again since my January post, I've since received OTA's 3.5.3 and 3.5.4 and AA coolwalk went live which may be what resolved it.

Yes I let it download updates every night . It takes my home wifi as soon as I park . I have an Android phone so that could be the reason . Had this phone for about 2 years
