It’s the iPhone 18 update that doesn’t work with the current Apple CarPlay. Took me a few months to figure it out cause I am in the beta apple testing like a lot are and that’s the issue it’s not actually the vehicle Jfyi. Until Apple issues a fix nothing you can do.
I’m running 18.0.1 on a 16 pro max with no issues

I've got 18.0.1 on an iPhone 13 mini.

I've noticed a few more glitches since iOS came out. I've more frequently had to disconnect and reconnect my phone.

It seems a little better the past week or 10 days or so. I think I got a OTA update last week so maybe that improved it.

Biggest thing is that on iOS 17, if I was listening to, for example, Apple Music and it was on the song info and album artwork and I left the truck, returning to the truck it would start up in Apple Music and showing my library, recent listens, etc (though I did have to hit the "now playing" symbol to get back to the song info)

Since iOS 18, the truck starts up on the main page of Apple CarPlay, NOT in the last-used app. Minor irritation that I have to tap back into Apple Music from the main screen, but otherwise seems to be working OK.
