I got my truck in March of 2021 and within a month or two the wipers started acting erratically. They would stutter or quit completely for a few seconds. The dealer replaced the wiper assembly including the motor under warranty.
I took my truck in today for a recall on the parking brake wiring and when I picked it up the work order says they replaced the wiper assembly and motor because of a recall. They had been working perfectly since the last replacement, so this seems like a waste.

Sounds like you had the work done pre-recall with parts still prone to failure. They replaced the parts with newer revision.

Recalls are for "potential" failures, not guaranteed failures. Last week the dealer mobile service came to my home to replace the wiper arms. Yesterday I got a text saying they are ready to install the wiper motor. I called the dealer to set up a time and date and they said they have no motors yet. When I told her it was a text from the mobile service she transferred me and they set me up for today and the tech came out and installed the new motor.

My wipers worked fine but I took it in for the recall a couple weeks ago and they changed mine out as well. It may seem like a waste now but maybe it would have failed on you in a few months during a terrential downpour while on the highway.
