Wiper Recall is back.

The wiper motor recall was expanded to MAR 23, 2021 - AUG 08, 2022 build dates. Kanuck looks like your safe for now..

@BHunted1 This doesn't make any sense why you received the recall notice. Your truck doesn't coincide with the dates of the recall.

Dam! my build date was March 25th trucks built after March 23rd 2 days! so I've been recalled. Wish the truck had been built 3 days earlier!

First recall went until March 22. So, you still would have been recalled.

It never went away, most have been waiting for a new wiper motor since this time last year. I cant believe it is taking this long.

I wonder if maybe the replacement motors used in the original recall were found to be defective as well? A recall of the recall so to speak. Anyway, that sucks to have to go back a second time!

It never went away, most have been waiting for a new wiper motor since this time last year. I cant believe it is taking this long.

Because the recall has expanded to almost all F150s produced in 2021 prior to August 16, dealers have been instructed not to replace wiper motors unless they’ve actually failed until parts are available in Q3.

My truck was in at the dealer today for something else and they checked the recall. They said the SN on my wiper motor was in the OK range so no replacement would be required.

I just checked my Ford account and my truck shows the recall. Damn....that makes two now that they don't have the parts to fix.

I hear you there! Fortunately, I still have my 2014 that I drive in the rain and snow. I leave the new one parked in the garage.

I had my truck at the dealer and picked it up today. I was told that they could not get the replacement wiper motors and would only replace it after it failed. That means taking a chance out of town on the motor failing and needing to wait for dry weather to drive the truck home.

I just saw my wiper recall notice. Luckily the Puget Sound area is known for it's dry weather during Q1 and Q2... I hope the new motor is a bit quieter than the original.

Do you have a listing of the xx? Part number suffix numbers to reference which wiper motors are recalled.
Example;
ML34-17504-AA ,AC, BA etc

Nuts, I just checked online and I am on the list for the recall (not in FordPass though).

In Fordpass tap on "Service" then "Customer satisfaction programs" the recall will show up there.
