Why is the RCSB the 'Redheaded Step Child' ??

Fortunately for 2024 the RCSB has the 2 most important options. The 5.0 and the 12" dash and center screen. I can make it like I wanted Ford to equip it. Business need/want the regular cab both long and short bed but shop harder than the normal customer. So there's less profit potential in the configuration so Ford restricts colors, have less content, plain interiors and exteriors to keep average customers into higher profit trucks. But I wanted a regular cab truck!
So I'll buy the XL and make it nicer. And keep it instead of trading it in every few years. I've noticed dozens of dealerships are creating special RC editions with paint matched bumpers and other appearance upgrades but like other semi factory editions (Shelby ect) the markup is incredible! But they must sell because more are popping up all the time. The demand IS there for a nicer regular cab. I just think Ford and the other major manufacturers are phasing out regular cabs in the most profitable way as part of a long range plan. In stages too..I think in 2-3 years the V-8 will be gone from Ford's lineup. Then the short bed. That's sad..

I’d rather a crew cab TRUE long bed (8 footer) in an F150 frame. Forcing me to a gas guzzling Super Duty that rides like crap is not my idea of any wish on my list. Already logged a million or two in Supers. Not any, thanks.

I still haven't received anything other than order confirmation for my Iconic Silver 2×2 yet..A Granger order is NEVER quick but always a great deal. I hope you got a great deal on yours! Any plans for mods ?

Back to the original posters question. You can not make as much profit on a less than $40,000 truck as you can on a more than $50,000 truck unless you price the former so high that you drive away the commercial duty truck (RCLB) market.
A RCSB on your lot will only appeal to a minority of customers as others have noted, but you don't want those customers to buy a low profit margin truck instead of a big cab truck.

Loving mine so far. Picked it up a little over 3 weeks ago at Granger, and have since ditched the steelies with some Raceline 17X8.5 rims. Borla XR-1 muffler is on the way to be installed sometime in the next month or so.
