The black thing has been overdone for quite a while now and I hope it continues. It makes my chrome truck look even better.

Hi Jus! That push rod clunker making strange noises yet? They are pushing black out because they lost their plastic chrome plating source a couple of years ago (epa shutdown). They probably can't get higher production #'s. Plus, yep it's cheaper. That's my theory.
Agreed! Although some people like the BAP, and some people like chrome door handles and such, there seem to be less and less "normal" trucks year after year. Normal meaning color matched handles, mirrors, and non bap/chrome wheels.I think offering trucks to us with chrome, black, and some painted parts is a tired look.
I want all chrome or no chrome! Enough with the half measures!
To give the perspective of a Brit with heavy euro influence moving to North America in 1980, I was horrified at the amount of chrome on North American, manufactured vehicles. Europe had pretty much eschewed chrome by the late 70s. I breathed a sigh of relief, when the Taurus and the Sable came out, thinking finally America gets it! Chrome bumpers, disappeared fairly quickly with just remnants of the shiny shit around window frames headlights badging etc. I shed no tears for the disappearance of chrome and hope the trend towards stealthy looking vehicles continues. But each to his/her own. BTW loving my Tremor 402ABlacked out is trending.
Chrome will make a comeback eventually.
I don't like chrome, bought BAP stuff for my truck. Problem solved.![]()
This comment has made me decide to buy a chromed out Lariat F-250 with the largest production gas V-8 on planet earth—because I’ll be damned if I’m taking advice from the British. ??To give the perspective of a Brit with heavy euro influence moving to North America in 1980, I was horrified at the amount of chrome on North American, manufactured vehicles. I'm the same... not a fan of BAP so looked at EVERY color with chrome over a few weeks and ended up right back at Agate with chrome... looks classy IMHO...I love blacked out trucks but I also love chromed out trucks. My dad was a huge influence.
When he saw my azure black with chrome package truck, he said "Now that's what a nice truck should look like." Cliche as it sounds, in many ways I'm a chip off the ol block.
You can add Canadian now.
