Mounting a forward looking dash cam and usually place them up behind the rear view mirror.
Getting ready to mount our dash cam and can see a sensor on the left side of the mirror so that is a no go. The right side (passenger side ) does not have any visible sensors. Is this an OK spot to not mess with any of the high tech sensors?

Mine is behind the rear view mirror, just barely lower than the mirror so I can see the recording light is on.

I bought one that fits over the mirror mount exactly like the OEM camera. IT works great. It’s this one:

Direct fit and comes with cable to use power from rear-view mirror and I got he option for hard wire to fuse for 24hr operation. Amazon, Works perfectly, has rear extra camera, running wire above the head board to rear window.
