After thinking about it a little more it might not be worth the extra effort time and money for a set of 5 matching wheels and tires but I will make sure I have quality spare of the right size. I don't plan to put a lot of miles on the new truck anyway. From what Ford puts under there they don't worry about it either..

My 24 RCSB has a non matching 17” black steel spare. I have the XL high package though so the rest are 17” aluminum. Since I bought my KO2s from a Jeep owner I got 5 tires so my spare is full size, just the wheel is different.

Well I actually was looking for direction/advice on whether to purchase 5 matching wheels and tires or 4..Plus I wanted to get a idea what Ford does for a spare especially if it was different on higher trim levels. I haven't bought new since 2015 and not bought replacement rims since I bought a new 1995 Super cab. The 'Sport Truck' community is new to me too. I thought the tread title might get more folks to look at the thread..

Not just Ford. All manufactures do the same.

I ordered the LT tire option when I ordered my 22 Ford RCBS 4x4. Got 5, yes 5, General Grabbers. So depends on what options selected from Ford.

It really seems to be no set standard..But possible differences if you have 4 wheel drive.

If you change the tire diameter, I'd get a new cheap spare to match. Otherwise, leave whatever Ford put under there. Throw some lightweight VenomRex wheels on there and enjoy the heck out of it.
