As the title says, what were to happen if I put my truck into reverse while driving?
I know on some vehicles the backup camera will come on.
I'm curious to know if anybody has tried on their truck yet lol..

You don't have a gear selector physically connected to anything.

I'm sure someone with the spinning wheel thing in Maverick has done it by accident and it's identical to ours with wiring.

This is why I never bought used.

Searching online on this subject will give you videos where nothing happens. Vehicles don't grenade transmission or suddenly stop. Your mileage may vary.

The strange thing to me about my 22 with column shift is on any other vehicle I’ve ever driven the shifter had a lock hump deal
They would go in all forward gears and swiftly moving lever up it would stop at neutral
You had to pull it towards you to go reverse or park
This F150 lacks this lock
This also tells me if one went to reverse going 70 mph nothing bad could happen or it would be all over the internet
I had buddy that hated his new 94 Dakota just because default on drive included overdrive and old man hated all shifting it would do on hill so he was trying to tear up transmission
We were riding to work and I said what happens if you throw it in reverse we were going 50
He immediately threw it in reverse
Nothing happened so 30 years later I know nothing happens now
