What is your largest RV towed with your PB?

So this tells me I'm good. Empty tongue weight of the RV I'm looking at is 526 lbs. Camper shell weighs 200 lbs spread over the bed of the truck. RV is 5,800 lbs. It's just my wife and I and some cargo in the bed.

Calculator says max tongue weight is 1,096 lbs and max trailer rating is 10,846 unless I'm missing something here.

Please see my first post in this thread. Using empty trailer weights and published tongue weights, are worse than worthless, because you will NEVER tow that lightly.

Use the GVW of the trailer and 13% of that, for the tongue weight.

So, the Brinkly IX 23 grosses at 7495. 13% of that is 974.

Lets be super generous and say you can get that down to the bare minimum recommended of 10% or, 750lbs of tongue weight.

You're starting with 1396 PL - 200 for the camper and nothing else = 1196 available payload.

1196 - 750 (IF you can pull that off) = 446 for you, your Wife and the weight distribution hitch (60-100 lbs +-).

Anything else in the truck? Bed mat? Tool box? Jump pack? Road snacks?

You really don't have anything like the room you thought.

I hear what you are saying. I have also added Falcon adjustable shocks to my truck along with Roadmaster Active Suspension set to stiffest setting.

I'd agree with that too. As do the Sumo Springs I put on mine.

But it doesn't change what either of the door stickers say.

2021 xlt 302a PB, 1160LB class 4 factory hitch, 1619 pound combined capacity, 11000 pound tow capacity, 2020 coachman apex travel trailer 293 RLDS 835LB hitch wt, loaded 7700LB, 34 ft long. My hitch wt was about 950. Was kinda swaying with windy conditions. Drove at 55mph most of the time on interstate in 6 and 7th gear. Shifting was a breeze with counsel shifter buttons. Up hills like nothing 65mph without looking at the speedo for a few minutes. Not realizing I was going that fast. The PB was a beast towing with the allison 10 speed trans. Average 10 to 11 mpg at 55mph towing RV, Just let all the traffic pass me. I attached my door label. Had a flat on my TT and really could not tell the tire shreaded. Other drivers were honking to get my attention.

I'm curious to know where the original numbers came from, because the VIN specific, towing calc disagrees, to the tune of shortage of 724 lbs. of payload and depending on how you figure it, up to 3K less towing capacity.

Those are not small discrepancies.

The label is in KILOS and Pounds. It is a Powerboost hybrid. Ford specs are 11k pounds for towing capacity and 1619 pounds actual truck capacity in bed and interior label, people and stuff. Canada or USA. I am in the US. The sticker is from the factory.
