Yea it’s on the list. I need to do a full paint correction plus some of the touch ups the dealer before I bought it (pre owned) look horrible. I ceramic coated my 66 vw and it was a total cheat code for washing.
Paint correction is pretty easy. Orbital, pads and compound. Depending on how much orange peal you have, you'll want a harsher pad/compound and keep rebuilding the paint. If it's extreme (like mine) then sand and build that up until you get to polish.

If you're old like me, then pay lol! But I'll probably do it next time to get the paint how I want it.

Ceramic is great. Had it applied to my F150 and my wife’s Explorer. 2.5 years on her ST and it still beads up like it was just applied. Makes it so much easier to get bugs off too.

If you use the right products, you can keep extending the life of the ceramic coat too.

This is what I'll be using. Mines still new but every 6 months I'll be washing it with this.

the issue is the touchups the dealer did. it'll require some wet sanding. Something I have not done. I've done everything up to that point lol. Guess I might as well start now?

mostly the truck just needs a light cut with a compound and then a polish. Might be a fall project though, its about 2003023020 degrees in my shop now that it's june in Phx.

Oh yeah, nope! I wouldn't be doing anything like that during the spring/summer/fall living there. I complain living in So Cal.

I have had good luck using Adam Pink Detail spray as a final rinse aid in a foam cannon, then use a blower, and finally towel dry.
My setup is a bit over the top. (DI water, etc. etc. etc.) Only reason is that my TRX would not fit in many of the Carwash places here and lot of folks reported damage going through those.

Best thing I ever did was to use Adam's Graphene Ceramic coating on the vehicles. My TRX is 2+ year and to this day dirt still falls off 99% with just rinsing. My JL 392 is 14 Months and dirt doesn't stick.

I figured out that my truck doesn’t fit a Gator FX quad fold when the part numbers say it should. This is the third strike for real truck and I won’t be buying from them again, which is sad, because they’ve turned into a conglomerate-like entity that owns a bunch of brands. I got a wild hair and marked to return the Gator hard cover and ordered with a tyger T3 soft top at 11pm last night from amazon. It got here at 10am lol and I’ll put it on later tonight.

Note how the rail cannot sit flush unless the foam is swapped out, and modifying voids the warranty.

I installed a trailer break controller on my 2023 XLT. Ordered the original OEM "black box" and actuator (the squeezy thing) part number ml3z19h332ab from TascaParts, $250+shipping
I supposedly could get the same slightly cheaper on Amazon but didn't trust it would be a real Ford part.
Interestingly there was a rust spot on the holding bracket, I wonder if that means I got a used part?

I then followed instructions from this forum on how to install it: swap the black controller box under the dash, pull the coin holder and replace it with the squeezy thing. I was relieved when I pulled the coin holder to see the harness/cable was plugged into the dummy plug in the back of it, as I've heard some people say the cable didn't come with their truck.

I had a couple of issues getting the right settings to stick in FORscan which I mention in this thread
but in the end the TBC is recognized by the truck when I squeeze it or adjust the gain.

Interestingly the part number of the black box controller looks almost the same as the one I pulled. Only the part after the dash was different like one was -ab and the other one -bb or something like that (I thought I took photos of the part numbers but I can't find them). I don't know if that means my truck already had the right box? Oh well, getting it done for less that $300 is still a good deal.

I was pretty confident I could add a TBC to my truck when I bought it, but thanks to this forum it turned out to be a pretty easy project.
