Time to get ready for another 400 plus mile towing adventure. Its been three months since I last towed... I had cleaned all the salt off my straps, tie downs and tow hitch. Memo to y'all, spray them with WD40 or silicon. the hitch pin lock was internally encrusted and didn't want to free up.... Patience and WD 40 to the rescue.
Lube and patience will solve any problem!

Dropped the truck off at the tinters today for the ceramic windshield film and tint the front windows to match the factory tint on the rears, finally removed the 4x4 stickers when I installed the Husky wheel well liners, hoping to install the AVS aero shield this weekend provided the weather stays warm enough, Installed the Carwiner 12" matte screen protector, "Installed" Luxus quilted floormats (Blue stitching to match the platinum blue interior accents) this was a mistake I won't repeat in the future; the matts look very nice but the drivers side matt is ill fitting and moves around enough to be rather annoying and last week I had the first oil change (the works $24.00) done along with having the dealer program the door keypad that I installed two weeks ago (Castrol EDGE 5W-30 Advanced Full Synthetic Motor Oil, 5 Quarts, Eco Pack {$23.97}, plus single quart of same,{$52.00/6pk} and fL500 filter {$81.12 for 12pk})

Swapped out my rolling soft cover for the RCI 9" bed racks, prepping for my RTT. Very easy install clamping on the bed rails and they feel beefy! Only downside is with the Decked system, I only have vertical 16" gap for gear... I knew it would be limited, but I'm contemplating selling the Decked

Today's effort: installing the Custom Off-road Bash Plates. These guys did a good job tailoring them to my coyote, things are a little different down there from the EB. They're 4mm stainless (that's dirt you're looking at ?).

Am I not seeing this right? Isn't that vertical lip in the first photo going to catch hard on pointy-outy things?

No, it's angled too, but not as much. I'm too old for the rocks and mud, just the beach and snow for me these days ?

Around 700 miles towing last week on a fishing trip and it was due for an oil change when I got home. 9100 miles on the truck, 4000 on the Castrol Edge EP 5w30.

Wash and wax today. Shinesupply products only of course. Shine soap, wet detailer spray while drying. Followed with cherry wax and wiped off using clutch silica spray.

Black paint SUCKSSSSSSS

Ceramic coat is your friend, from a fellow black F150 owner. Its super easy to maintain after.

I have a pressure washer & foam canon. Ordered the soap they told me to use to protect the ceramic coat and now I just use a leaf blower and air compressor to dry her.

Yea it’s on the list. I need to do a full paint correction plus some of the touch ups the dealer before I bought it (pre owned) look horrible. I ceramic coated my 66 vw and it was a total cheat code for washing.

Ceramic is great. Had it applied to my F150 and my wife’s Explorer. 2.5 years on her ST and it still beads up like it was just applied. Makes it so much easier to get bugs off too.
