I tried to love my Rattler. I really did. The power, comfort, roominess and ride were all great. But, I didn't like driving it. It seemed overly large and was a PITA maneuvering in parking lots, garages, the city, not to mention off road. I also didn't care for the sync/infotainment system.
My plan was to order a 24 Ranger with the 2.7L engine. Can't be ordered with that engine yet and probably wouldn't see it for over a year. I started considering options.
To make a long story shorter I ended up with a 23 Colorado ZR2. The Colorado version of the Ranger Tremor/Raptor. Came with virtually everything I would do to it from the factory. Three inch lift with off road suspension, real skid plates, 33" LT tires, rock rails, etc.
I'm a long time Ford guy. Last new Chevy I bought was 39 years ago and it was a POS. It pains me to say this, but the ZR2 is a very nice truck. Workmanship, fit and finish is noticeably better than my Rattler was. Guess I'll see how it does in the long term. Hope posting pics of a Chevy doesn't ruffle too many feathers.
Anyway, this is a great community and I enjoyed participating. Take care Gents.
