Warranty Confusion

Purchased a '23 PB from dealer, used. It was ordered, driven for ~500 miles and returned (finances). Purchase price I considered was pretty fair compared to alternatives. Now I have Ford Blue Advantage Gold Certified vehicle warranty, in addition (I presume) to the original manufacturer's warranty. Gold Service is 12-month/12,000-mile Comprehensive Limited Warranty coverage (whichever comes first) - 7-year/100,000-mile Powertrain Limited Warranty coverage (whichever comes first).

I now have 6K miles on it and love the vehicle and love driving it but I'm now considering an extended warranty (Ford Protect) since it's a relatively complex machine; electronics, computers, hybrid, etc. and confused as to how that would marry up with the original vehicle warranty. Tried the recommended Granger option but when I entered Florida as the registration the screen went dumb.

Searched Ziegler and they gave actual quotes for various years and various plans, various components covered. All that did was confuse me more. I drive ~20-25K/year, give or take a few thousand depending on vacations.

Any Ford Protect/Extended Warranty buyers on here have any advice for what I should be looking for, how long a warranty, warranty agents, specific coverages and any other relative/pertinent information. Not concerned about deductibles, more about the overall price. Any comments/recommendations are greatly appreciated.

Sorry to say that if you are in Florida you can only get the retail rate which will be the same for every online option.
Term length and miles are entirely up to you. I used every bit of my ESP on last truck including warranty work on the final day of warranty coverage that was all paid. Picked a slightly longer term for my 2021 used purchase. Plan to keep truck 10+ years like the last one so extended warranty will cover most of that.

I believe there are purchase options out of state for the warranty. Unfortunately the gold 'warranty' doesn't do anything to the price of the premium ESPs, which is precisely what you want for the coverage of the hybrid components. It'd be nice if the gave consideration for it but they don't.

Most likely, guess I'll just have to suck it up...I'll talk, just talk for now, to the dealer and see what options they have available....Thank you kindly.

Look online because some of them can sell to you in Florida if they are licensed by Florida.
Then see if local dealer will match. From my understanding they have to sell you retail price as the lowest option online but your local dealer can still charge more.

you need to find a friend in another state, \ use thier address for the initial paperwork...florida might not like it, but it is what it is
buy the warranty from one of the places that do discounts, like granger, etc zeigler
ford does not care where the truck is or not IS ( thanks B.C>)
then if you need warranty work you take it to your dealer of your choice in your area
your still within the 3/36 so should not have to do the inspection sheet
