Recently encountered a problem with my '23 PB with 30,000 miles on it. Experiencing some hard shifts and noise coming from transmission. Took it the dealership and they determining the transmission pump was bad. Ford authorized the dealer to install a new transmission. Great right? Unfortunately no. After getting the vehicle back, the hard shifts were gone. Now I have a bearing noise and a vibration that can be felt through the floorboard and gas pedal. Twice I've experienced a noise like going over a rumble strip. While driving on the highway and going up a slight grade, the bearing noise is more evident. This same type of noise is heard while in 4wd. Took it back to the dealer and they said it is coming from the front hubs. They replaced them. Guess what? The noise and vibration are still there. On a long trip the vibration causes tingling in my feet, kind of like my feet are falling asleep. Anyone have any idea what could cause the vibration and noise after a transmission install?

How many miles on the new transmission? Is it while cruising along in 9th or 10th gear under 2k RPM? Seems to be a frequent issue that people have and it doesn't seem to be dependent on any particular mileage or engine combo. I haven't seen any breakthroughs figuring out the issue yet anywhere on the Internet.

I had this happen a few times on my new truck but I have to admit after passing 1500 miles it seems to be happening much less and with less intensity. Not sure if it's something to do with how the 10r80 breaks in or if it's just a coincidence.

Goldeneye36, i hope you're right. I am right at 1000 miles on the new transmission. It seems like the vibration is pretty much constant and doesn't seem to change with different RPMs, but the bearing noise can increase with load. I was traveling at 33 MPH in 7th gear going up a slight grade this morning and the bearing noise is a little more.
Based on some of the things I was reading and experiencing, I thought the dealership used the old torque converter but they said it was new. I also thought the transmission needed flushed but the paperwork says they flushed it. Kinda the last thing I was thinking was the driveshaft is out line/ unbalanced or the transmission is on a bind. Thanks for reading and providing input. This truck has been a pain and in the shop way too much.

Sounds like a failing U-joint in the rear axle propeller shaft. This wouldn't necessarily have been changed out as part of a transmission swap.

This sounds like a different issue. The one I described is very intermittent and situational vs constant. It's also more of a buzz vs a whine. I hope you get it sorted out.

I wouldn't be the least surprised that the new transmission is under/over filled.

Note that a failing U-Joint can be intermittent and load dependent. The first time I ran into this it kicked my rear end for weeks trying to ID it.

Snakebitten, I do believe that could be a possibility. I have an appointment with a transmission shop for a second opinion. I plan to have them check the fluid level first thing. The problem with many mechanics, especially those at dealerships, is they simply change parts based on what the scanner says is a problem. They've scanned my transmission and no codes. That means to them, no matter what i say, it is working properly.
A couple more tidbits about the transmission. When I began experiencing problems with the original transmission, I had no vibrations while just driving down the road. The vibrations began after the new install. I've also experienced a bang or loud click, 3 to 4 times when shutting the truck off. I'm not sure if i was in electric mode or the engine was running when these noise occurred.
In addition to these new issues with the new transmission, I've lost 5 MPG since getting it back. To be fair, the dealership installed 4 new tires at the same time the transmission was installed. I drove with the original tires under inflated pulling a 7500# travel trailer. Wore the back tires bad on the outer edges. I planned to install new tires, but not right now. The tech called me and said the tires are bald and one has a cut in it. Just before the call my truck sent me an alert from the tpms due to a low pressure issue. Had the original Hankook Dynapro AT2s on it. Put Falken Wildpeak HTs on it. Not super aggressive, but I can't say if the MPG reduction is the transmission, tires or both.
Took the truck on a several hour drive yesterday and the only way I could prevent my feet from falling asleep was to listen to some good 80's music. I just kept tapping my feet with the beat of the music.
I did experience, which i did not with the original transmission, the transmission trying to find a gear on the highway. I would just barely press on the gas pedal and it would downshift and then upshift. Pretty annoying. No matter what the dealership says, there is a problem with the transmission. If low fluid level is the cause, what will their course of action be? Another new transmission? Doubt it. They'll claim there is nothing wrong with it.

In my case an underfilled transmission reflected in a startup noise when ambient temperature was below 15ºF (IE fluid shrinkage with temperature).

I took the time today to see what the transmission fluid level was at. I placed the truck on a level surface and in engine only mode. It ran for just over a half hour before shutting off. Around 25 minutes and 28 minutes I checked the level with the truck still running. What i see is level is at between 1 and 2, when it is supposed to be at between 3 and 4. Anyone have any idea how much fluid i need to take out to get to the proper level?

Do you know for sure what the transmission temperature was when you checked it?

I honestly don't know how different the reading would be between say.... 175F vs 205F.
But Ford seems to imply that you can't get an accurate reading below 205F.
