Sorta interesting, the lag in the various OTA update status reporting systems. My recent experience ....
  • 12/28/2024 - actual date of OTA installation (ECG-24.2.5.6.3.1)
  • 12/30/2024 - date I got notification via FordPass
  • 1/3/2025 - date it showed-up on Ford.com Software Update webpage
No worries, just thought it sorta interesting :)

So I asked my neighbor and he said that I should try plugging in my 10A charger to it overnight and connect it to wifi.

Mine is a 2021 and hasn’t had an update in over 90 days. I was told that my software version is in line with everyone else’s.

Your Sync version is in fact the most recent before the current release.

Or put another way, you are just one OTA away from running the current Sync4.
Not bad for a 2021.

I called my dealer today as I'm still waiting on updates to arrive... The infotainment still drains my battery, freezes, etc so hoping the new update fixes it....

Except I am not getting the update.

Dealer confirmed truck has updates waiting but will have to come in for them... WHAT THE HECK.

The only update I see is the ECG-24.2.5.6.3 update on 12/13/24, which was OTA. The dealer did a bunch of updates on November 19, including Sync 4., but they are not shown in my software history.

Received a GWM update today, the first OTA in probably 9 months. Prior to this, would receive the phantom update at least 1x a week. Hoping it resolves that issue and opens up the OTA pipeline. ?

Funny (NOT) Our F-150 hybrid trucks software updates are funky, aren't they !! The dealer says "youre current" and that's all they will say and do. My web account says "your truck hasn't communicated in 90 days " App says auto updates enabled AND no schedule defined. The app DOES say At Updates are active and it DOES say I haven't set a schedule (I DID). Glad this doesn't happen in the aircraft cockpit... I'd be sunk ! Ford - You have a website, a truck and an app. Get it together and make it work ! Being in IT a long time I find this rather ridiculous.

Right there with you. But who doesn't love a good FMS discontinuity bug now and again... ;)

It's because of compartmentalization. One hand doesn't know when the other is wiping after Ford dumps a huge steaming coiler of an OTA update on our front porch.

It's been a while since I got an update of any kind. At this point, I don't care as long as the truck does what it's supposed to do.
