Well it’s nice to get some resolution, post pics! My next F-150 I’m gonna have to step up to a platinum. I love my lariats but those platinums look pretty nice
I agree. The platinum with the BAP actually looks nice to me. I think because of the black tailgate appliqué. But I will say that I’m loving the tremor. Not too many in my parts. Anywho… I’m glad OP was able to resolve his problems.

My phone call with Ford is set for tomorrow for the buyback. I really don't want a buyback because I'll loose too much money and I have a dog box in the back which I'd have to get removed and reinstalled.

I'm hoping they offer me money to live with it. My issue is that my truck has never received an update. Not a single update. I paid for Blue Cruise prep and can't get it. During the messing around trying to get the truck to accept updates, I even lost lane centering. My two year window is fast approaching so I had to do something.

Yeah they gave me a low cash option in my opinion to ride it out until it was repaired and would have made me sign a non disclosure agreement as well.

I went through the buyback at the end of December. When I asked about the offer if we kept the truck, I was given the amount of 5700. I asked if we did that, would we be able to get an extended warranty from them. I was offered a 7 year or 100,000 miles Premium CARE Ford protect warranty and the cask. The warranty was goig to go from the dates/miles when the vehicle was purchased and not when the offer was accepted.

I was actually impressed with the process and ease for us. It was under a month from the time we qualified with my complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

Wait…make you sign an NDA?!! That’s interesting, although I feel like that’s what happened with gears n gadgets (YouTube channel) actually because he was going through the same buyback process with his lariat powerboost. Never heard an update about that

I only had to sign it if I decided to keep the truck and allow them to continue and repair it. I decided there was too much water inside, so I'd have that fear in the back of my mind all of the time something else would pop up. Also with no real eta on parts I opted for the buyback vs small cash offer and allow them to try and fix it.

I definitely think you chose the better if not best decision. I would have been fearful as well with water intrusion, so many electronics and all those semiconductor chips we’ve been waiting on. I tried going through the BBB route, although my case was very different than 7 weeks straight without my truck.
Also, did Ford or the dealership provide you with a loaner? Or did you pay out of pocket?
