We had a 2023 Ford Escape ST Line Hybrid built 4/21/23. It keeps draining the battery, so they replaced the battery. A week later it was doing the same thing. It's been at dealership since 12/18/23. The head mechanic and service manager can't figure it out. So they had an engineer from Detroit come in and work on it for 8 hours with no avail. The service manager contacted Ford and suggested a by back. Does anyone have any experience with Buy Back ? I'd greatly appreciate any advice I can get. ?

So be careful on that unless you did not trade anything. You will not get your trade in tax credit. The law buyback/lemon only enforces cost paid in decelerated line items. So, where I live sale tax is about 10% meaning on 40k trade in 4k just goes poof. Also in a buy back they have the right to devalue unit based on use, and there goes another couple thousand. My advice sit down right now and write a hand log of all interactions, out of pocket costs, and time off work costs from first event. Find your copy of repair paperwork. Then collect your insurance and bank payment history. Finally get a lawyer and present him the facts. Do the this you will come out even or a little ahead. Don’t let them run the show you could lose thousands. I fought FCA and settled it last year. No one wins here you just avoid great losses. Best of luck and I am sorry for your troubles as I have felt your pain.

Hello, I was in a similar situation last year with a Ford Maverick. Same issue the battery was draining every night. The dealer had my truck from April 23 to Sept 23. After about a month, I said hey why don’t you guys allow me to order a new truck and you take my truck on Trade and you guys fix it. The dealer allowed that. I ordered a new F-150 in June and it arrived in Sept. I took the F-150 in for an oil change and they told me they fixed the Maverick. They said the radio was faulty and it was draining the battery. I had the Maverick in the dealer probably 4 times before that for radio issues. And on this F-150 the electronics are subpar to say the least. I think this will be my last Ford. The dealership was fantastic they did not have to do that. This is a Ford problem and Ford should step up to the plate.
