Man you have to love the quality Ford puts out and 198 miles over the 36k mile warranty.

Anyone know the type of hardware I need to put this back on?

If that is the fiberboard cover I'm impressed it lasted that long. I would remove it and throw it away. Did same on my Gen 12. I also bought Raptor skid plate aka cheap cat shield to replace it.

Can I drive it while I order something else?

Sorry ran my words together.
My Gen 12 the cover did as yours during first snow. Unhooked it threw it away. 12 years never had it on truck again. Very common on F150forum for many to chuck it in trash at the time.

Several of the Gen 14 were built and sold without it. Purpose of it is just fuel economy and maybe a very slight reduction in road noise. You don't need it at all. I can try to find the Raptor skid plate thread that is really a whole other project as poor man's catalytic converter protection. It happens to use some of the same mount points and covers larger area.

@JExpedition07 that's very funny to see that picture, Ford installed two clip nuts on the cross member without anything being bolted to it. My truck has them to and I always wondered if they forgot to install a cover. But it appears that's the way 5.0's get built. Lol they could have saved 8 cents on every truck by not installing them!

Chip shortage... ?

The cover on my 2011 was a much larger snow scoop. The smaller cover now is pointless it doesn't cover much. Better off not having it at all but that must have got them a fraction extra MPG for EPA test.

Same with mine. I removed them. They jingled and you could hear it on slow bumpy roads.

the steel plate does provide protection though for the road debris agaisnt that plastic transmission pan
that was my worry. we have far to much CRAP and four legged critters that impale themselves to the underside

its is very odd the 5/0 was left out, got nuts but no plate

Great point, that plastic transmission pan is a,huge target! Not a lot of critters here in north Jersey. But we tons of large junk on our highways that will take out that pan just as fast! ?

That fiber diaper has fallen off the last 3 F150s I've had, and all on the first oil change.
Fortunately I found them on the floor of the barn everytime.
I stack them on a shelf so I don't lose them.
