Same thing on my 5.0 no covers whatsoever!Must be an EcoBoost thing? Everything is steel underneath my 5.0L including the oil pan. No felt to be found.

Same with mine. I removed them. They jingled and you could hear it on slow bumpy roads.@JExpedition07 that's very funny to see that picture, Ford installed two clip nuts on the cross member without anything being bolted to it. My truck has them to and I always wondered if they forgot to install a cover. But it appears that's the way 5.0's get built. Lol they could have saved 8 cents on every truck by not installing them!

Great point, that plastic transmission pan is a,huge target! Not a lot of critters here in north Jersey. But we tons of large junk on our highways that will take out that pan just as fast! ?the steel plate does provide protection though for the road debris agaisnt that plastic transmission pan
that was my worry. we have far to much CRAP and four legged critters that impale themselves to the underside
its is very odd the 5/0 was left out, got nuts but no plate
