When checking fluid level, does the pan have to be level (like on a lift) or the truck (tires sitting on a level surface)?

God yeah it does, and if you overfill it even by a little it'll push out thru the pan gasket and coat the underside of your truck to include climbing up between the cab and the bed and coat even your rear windows

Of all the things ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot are good at, math is surprisingly not one of them (yet). I dunno if it's just an interpretation thing or what but I'd try Wolfram Alpha over any current gen AI tool for anything above third grade math.

This was me asking Gemini in May 2025. It was doing great until it tried to convert 430 seconds.
The actual answer is a little over 7 minutes. ChatGPT (probably v3.5 at the time) got it right, but I've had it answer other absurd numbers for maths that I was too lazy to do on my own. I straight up don't trust AI for math anymore.

It looks like me trying to check my transmission fluid is going to be more than I will be able to do currently at my age and physical condition. I’m just a few months from turning 80 and have a tough time getting down under my truck and worse at getting back up.
Been in construction all my life and have had broken backs, knees replaced, numerous shoulder surgeries that in the end weren’t successful.
My dealer is really going to love me.
Thanks so much for the video and the explanation of the what and how to do what should have been a fairly simple fluid check.
