Since I have a PB that can have the ICE off and be silent, I like the reminder. I do wish it was something more subtle, but it is nice to have in most situations. However there are a number of times when you are using the PPOB that I wish it did not honk/honk.

This little device looks nice as compared to a forscan change.

Easy to keep this in the glovebox and turn this feature on and off with ease. Not a cheap date but great if you want to keep this feature but have select times you would like to turn it off so you do not disturb others.

I work from my truck and this is super annoying. If forscan can do it that may just be my trigger to get the obdlink Mx+.

Btw Rams now honk and hazards go off for 30 seconds if the trucks been idling for more than 30 minutes or whatever set time it is. In this regard both trucks are annoying af

Thanks @Kodiak I’ll def be looking into that plugin!

All that does is exactly what you do in Forscan with editing asbuilt but for ridiculously higher cost.

Inside the cab the dash freaks out with annoying alert tones added in one of the updates that is enough to get your attention.

True, and forscan can do a lot more. However you will need your laptop with you to make changes back and forth. That is where this little device has an edge. With it in your glovebox you can make the changes back and forth at anytime and anywhere. Most people will want it either on or off, but there may be some that want the reminder on most of the time, but turn it off in specific circumstances.

I have not seen the update that causes the interior alert. I do not know how that works. I am usually out of the truck with my fob when I get the honk that the truck is still running. Most of the time I know this and I am doing it on purpose. However going back and forth with the PPOB running and I am trying to see the drain while testing things, can be a nuisance to neighbors or fellow campers.

Sit in cab and have someone take fob while it is running and shut door. You already have the software with the annoying beeps. There were a few threads on it when everyone freaked out last year. :)

Powerboost only work around.
I've found that if I put the truck in generator mode, it will not honk.

Can you not treat the fob as you would a good old fashioned stab key and eliminate the problem, i.e. if the enginer is running, the key is in it? If you need to leave the unoccupied vehicle running, can you not lock/unlock it with the other fob? Or remove the emergency stab key and use that?

I'm glad I order the minimum gadgetry on my 21 reading some of the issues here. If it ain't necessary, I don't want it even if it's free.

This. But today, if you want a comfortable seat - on both sides - you have no choice.
