Ford has 3,900,000,000 shares of stock issued. If they each get $0.40 this year (historically that's a bit low, from $0.60 a year), that's $1.6 billion.

Just a drop in the bucket. Institutional shareholders get the majority of the $1.6 billion, little retail investors get their couple of hundred dollars and carry on.

I work for a third tier supplier for Ford, GM, Toyota and a few others. Global company that manufactures a multitude of items. One year the plant manager got a Porche plus a check as a bonus, I got $400 for my profit share. LOL.

I filed a complaint with Ford on an issue with my truck and the dealership.
They helped me solve the issue, and gave me a 75,000 mile extended warranty for my troubles.
I have to ask how you got Ford to help as well. When i called them they told me they wont do anything without a dealer saying there is an issue and there is no way around that

I purchased a Toyota Tundra 2008 brand new. When I sold it in 2019 (?) it had 124,000. (I had a company vehicle so I didn't use my truck much). In 2013 I brought it in for warm AC. They then told me I had to leave it with them, it wasn't safe to drive. The frame was completely rotted like so many other Toyota trucks. Never got a recall. They said they would replace the frame. I said what about giving me some $$$ off a new one. Nope. They kept my truck for three months. Dealer sucked, no updates, no apology, no additional warranty, no nothing. I did get a loaner from Enterprise. When they finally called me (oh yeah, I couldn't use my plow all winter) they said a bunch of things were rotted off to the tune of 5K and did I want to repair them? (strucks, shocks, gas shield, etc.). Said no thanks and got them done someplace else. The point of all this is yes, Toyota replaced the frame, but in all those years they knew they had a problem and never fixed it until a lawsuit got shoved down their throats. Just saying all these companies are the same and only pay out when they have no alternative. So I switched to Ford. Very happy. Tundra new models have not kept pace with Ram, Ford, etc. because they are saving money--probably because of all the frames they had to replace.
My experience was completely opposite. terribly disappointed with Ford and my 2014 Tundra was way better inside and than the comparable 2014 Ford.

The toyota dealer I had before moving was awesome though. The Ford dealer near me now i dont think the service people can tie their own shoes.

When I sold the toyota in Northern Michigan (100,000) 5 years old, i dont recall rust on the frame beside a bit here and there. The new ford I have has more rust than my wifes two year old Sequoia in Last few years I think the infotainment system is better in Fords, but have yet to see a 2022 interior to compare newest models.
Ford has also been embroiled in multiple Billion dollar lawsuits over MPG and transmission issues. Each manufacturer has their issues but too many people on these forums tend to hold Ford as a permanent Lifestyle partner instead of a business that needs to know they need do better or face additional monetary penalties.

I didn't have an issue with rust...or at least not a bad issue.

As you may know, the Powerboost has a locking gas door. The locking piece was missing from my gas door upon delivery. The Dealership, (Five Star Ford),ordered it when I received my truck.
I asked them to please update me regularly on when they felt they would have the piece. After all, it's a $70,000 truck, and the gas door not locking, trigger the check engine light.

The worthless girl at Five Star Ford told me that all she could do was order it, and contact me when it came in. I called her several times, with no calls back...so of course I got PISSED and contacted Ford Customer Service. 800-392-3673.

The lady below, Leah Lowe, got to work on it, saw that the part was ordered and knew that the Dealership would have the part in two days, and then contacted me again when the part arrived. She actually set my appointment with the Dealership as well.

Plus, she offered me the 75k warranty. So I was pleased.

Specifically, ESP Extended Service Plan Premium Care with Road Side Assistance 60months/75,000 miles, ($100.00 deductible).

Awesome, thanks for the info, much appreciated. I dont expect everything to be perfect with all the vehicles, that would be an impossible task, but like you all i am asking for is a little help in making it right and taking care of the existing issues

I agree. Customer service seems to be an old school habit. Just show us you care. The folks at Five Star Ford didn't care. But Ford Customer Service did.

So sorry you are having this experience. I did love my tundra, hated my service manager so perhaps that is a big part of it. I agree with all who post here that have rust that ford needs to drastically step up their game not just for the rust but for other things too. For the amount of money these trucks should be like a Mercedes’ Benz or similar car. I hope you get a tesultion to your issues.

I just picked up my truck last night. The undercarriage was in "brand new" condition. All black, not a spec of rust.
What was your trucks "journey" like? Was it held for chips, waiting a while for a ride to the dealer, etc? KC or Dearborn?

Well I think Ford finally got the message. Picked up my truck yesterday (7/8) and there was a nice black coating on almost all underside components. I can tell this was completed prior to assembly, only the coupler from the driveshaft to the differential housing was bare steel. I’ll gladly paint that.
