Just rolled 7,629 miles. Crawled under the truck for an oil change and saw oil leaking down one of the crossmembers and found the rear seal on the front diff leaking.
MPG is variable 14-17 unloaded and 5-9 MPG with 3500 lb Trailer depending on weight (X5 to the dealer, verified an issue since new and cant find the problem, Ford has tried multiple updates)
Have to use regular gas to get better MPG but performance is worse
Use Premium gas get much better...
I have the same whine from mine but the colder it gets outside the louder it gets. When i leave my house and park on a slight incline and its below freezing there is both an audible and physical clicking. At times you can also hear a metallic grinding . The humming is one thing but a metallic...
@Thor’s Stormboost
I personally started with Ford, then the BBB but in my case they both are about useless. The BBB is just an arbitrator Ford decided on way back when and only handle very specific cases for the buyback and will try and get an agreeable solution without Ford buying back the...
My truck expiries the significant road noise on the passenger side only at speed. Overall the quality seems terrible compared to others that post here. So guess will start a posting blitz of all the issues.
@Ford Motor Company
My truck does this as well. Going up in gears and down - seems associated to the shifting of gears and the most present in Electric only. if you lightly come to a stop with all other things off it is most apparent. Mine seems to be originating from the drivers side somewhere from in front of...
21 Powerboost 4x4 SCrew
Empty 14-17 MPG
w/ empty Trailer (Enclosed wedge front 3500 lb dual axel) 9.0 MPG
w/ 2500 lbs loaded in same trailer 5-7 MPG.
Worst truck ever bought. Ford still being D**** about a buyback. Really just need to get a lawyer but kept hoping they would do the right thing...
I have similar MPG. I regularly get about 30% electric so in regards to OP's original post that the combustion engine is seeing that poor of mpg, yeah it
I have similar MPG in the 16-17 range. Highway gets bumped to 18ish.
In regards to OPs question on poor mpg performance of the combustion...
I have that weep hole (under the bed) but the leak i have is under the drivers seat where the exhaust crosses over from passenger side to drivers side.
Still waiting on Ford to do my buyback. @Ford Motor Company
Curious oddity I encountered is that I started to put in regular grade Instead of premium and my MPG increased 1-1.5 MPG.
Transmission shudders like crazy now but guess I'll deal with it while having lower fuel costs.
My wife...
OMG you guys,
I HAVE NOT ONCE SAID BIGGER TIRES WOULDN'T AFFECT MPG, JUST NOT 7-10. Now that it is in caps maybe you can really think about it.
I got 14-17completely stock, not towing, eco, not eco, highway, city. granny driving, normal driving, remote start, not remote start, long trips...
The air dam per the Ford repair supervisor from the dealer deploys at 65 mph. Supposedly they received their info from Ford engineering.
You are also assuming multiple aspects in terms of thin Margin. If the truck is optimized the way you think Ford would not legally be allowed to say it hits...
They would not affect the mileage this much. People need to stop saying it's normal, it's not. His setup maybe 1-2.
This whole air resistance thing, you will start to see resistance affect the mpg maybe around 45 mph, having said that, the active air damage doesn't even deploy until 65 mph...
I would expect them to change my mileage but they didnt. I am at the same before they went on. If you look at my post I said it got 14-17 with stick tires and it got 14-17 with 35's which doesn't make sense.
Also enough threads out there with people putting 33's and 34's with minimal to no mpg...
No, your setup would not decrease the MPG by 7 MPG.
I'm in the same boat except with 35's. My truck is in the shop, now for 2 weeks as they try and find something but it hasnt been easy yet.
Mine has done 14-17 since stock, 14-17 after 35's and level kit added. there was no change. Talked...
I've seen it. Selected one of the modules and selecetd to read that module and this came up, dont remember offhand which one, but canceled out of it. believe i've done it twice while messing around.
Not sure if thats what you had, but try one of the other modules that arent tied to the Trans...
I use 93 invigorate and get 17. I don't think it's fuel quality determining the mpg besides a 10-15% difference. It's got to be something else.
To get back to Forscan Does anyone know of a cross-reference for the old and new Forscan? Also to which modules specifically control what function?
