Been having this issue for some time at higher speeds, and generally into the wind. Dealership “can’t replicate” and seemingly refuses to see a video? Any ideas on what this could be?
Yep that’s pretty common. The F250 I had did that. Turn the radio up or switch to standard mirrors. Unless you got a tiny man in that mirror housing playing with a kazoo that’s all wind noise.
Try changing how the air flows around the mirror.
Some owners have found success with tightening the mirror's mounting bolts or adjusting the vibration fingers (if applicable) inside the mirror housing.
Ensure that the bolts holding the mirror to the truck's body are securely tightened.
Some tow mirrors have small rubber or plastic fingers that help dampen vibrations.
Cover any gaps around the mirror with painter's tape to see if it resolves the issue.
Try sticking a tennis ball between the two posts of the mirror or sticking weights (like small tire balancing weights) to the mirror to dampen the vibration.
Others on different vehicles with standard mirrors have reported that side window deflectors may work.
I have notice a similar sound from mine, I always assumed it was the mirror cap. I swapped my chrome for the XLT/flat black caps. But that cap doesn't sit very tight, so I could see it vibrating if the air flow is just right.
