I've had my 2025 501a Powerboost for a few weeks now and, while I love the tow mirrors, the top glass seems to vibrate - especially over bumps and more so at highway speeds. Never had a truck with tow mirrors before so I'm not sure if that is normal. Its not horrible, but definitely noticeable. Will mention it at my first oil change. Curious to see if anyone else with a 2025 has something similar happening. My buddy is a ford tech and he said the tow mirrors were changed in 24 with a different mount for the internal motor. He's had a few complaints of the vibration since then - mostly on F250's.

Same here. I switched to tow mirrors on my 2025 XLT and yes there is a bit of "shake" to the top mirrors. Noticeable at idle or highway.
It bothered me the first few days, now I don't pay much attention to it.

Factory tow mirrors? Yeah I'm thinking I'll have to learn to live with it.

I have had three trucks with the tow mirror and no vibration or shaking.
What years did you have? It sounds like the change in 2024 made them more prone to some shaking in the upper glass.

Exact same truck and mirrors, no shaking. Interested to hear what your dealer has to say. Probably "We can't replicate it."

Hmm, thanks for letting me know. I'm curious what they will say too, I'll be due here in the next few weeks for the first oil change so I'll mention it then. I'm thinking you are probably right, "we can't replicate it" seems to be the go to response.

The mirrors haven't changed. I have an OE set I've ran on two trucks and the passenger side trembles for lack of a better word if the road is rough. They're heavy and stick out there so things move a bit.

Not nearly as bad a problem as 2019 or newer GM trucks with their tow mirrors. Those will bounce the entire mirror and arm going over train tracks and you'd swear it's going to fall off.

Yeah the mirrors dimensionally are identical, with the same mount to the cab as far as I can tell. The way the top glass mounts to the internal motor was changed in 2024 and the internal motor was changed as well. There used to be 3 tabs that mounted the glass to the motor, and that was changed to 2 wider mounting tabs in 2024. I adjusted my mirror all the way in to shine a light inside to look, I originally thought the tabs weren't fully seated.
I'm glad its just the glass and not the entire mirror that shakes like the GM trucks. A coworker has a 2025 Sierra 1500 AT4 and his entire mirrors are loose from the factory.

Must be 24+ specific due to the motor mount changes. My 23 tow mirrors are solid. I've never noticed any shaking or vibrations in them. Id still get them even if the newer ones shook a little. Im a firm believer the tow mirrors should be standard on all f150s, just like the superduties
