I said I love the truck and that it has been beyond my expectations and that is true. I also said I wouldn't pull punches if that changed.
So, I'm tinkering around, trying to stop the remote features disabled warning and the new Service Charging System Soon warning. Gave it a full charge last week, drove it 100 miles yesterday. Let it idle until shut down an hour ago and just now got the remote features disabled notice again.
Checked for fuse seating in both locations and both batteries' connections. Clean and tight. I haven't reset the BMS yet but just for grins, called a local dealer, that a friend recommended.
They don't make appointments, I'd have to drop it off, said maybe 3 weeks and no loaner. I told him this was still under full warranty. Made no difference.
That ain't cool.
So, gonna charge the batt, bypassing the BMS this time, until fully charged, then reset the BMS.
If that doesn't work, I'll get a new batt but it grates me. A LOT.
Because we plan extensive travel, starting this summer, I'm thinking Walmart. I know there are better better batteries but WalMarts are everywhere.
