At the bottom of the tailgate they are two square and one rectangle hole. Is there any rubber plus to cap this holes off. On my brother truck, the squirrels packed peanuts ?. If anyone has a stop files, I can 3D print.
Wondering is anyone came up with a way to cap off these holes in the bottom edge of the tailgate. I recently hauled a load of crushed rock in my truck and quickly found out that those hole fill up with crushed rock as soon as you let the tailgate down. The rocks then get stuck inside the tailgate cavity (enough to constantly rattle every time the tailgate is opened/closed). Seems like there should be some sort of grommet cover for these holes to prevent something like this from happening. Ford got a lot of things right when designing this truck, but this was a total oversight that could have been easily remedied IMO.
Silly tree rats.
Had to replace the fuel pump on my former Ranger.
Full tank of fuel, so the bed came off.
Remove the liner and every air space between box and liner packed with pecans and acorns. Nuts everywhere!
At least the truck had a proper cleaning before it went off to new owner.
