Bought a Husky bed liner for my truck. They don't seem to make a mat/liner for tailgate. I found a Cat on Amazon I like but it requires holes drilled in tailgate. I'm having a hard time with drilling holes in my brand new tailgate. What suggestions do any of you have? Bite the bullet and drill or is there something else?

If I were inclined to put a mat on my tailgate, I think I would use RTV Silicone to adhere it, so that there is no drilling and I could remove it at a later date if need be with minimal to no damage to the finish...

I like the bedrug tail gate pad so it's easy to slide stuff in and out. Hook/loop fastened. Rubber mat in bed so stuff stays put.

I have the Bedrug Classic and it’s been great. It’s continuous across the tailgate gap so it reduces material coming into the bed through the tailgate gap. It’s stayed in place despite having dragged heavy materials across it.
