I ordered the Dee Zee bed and tailgate matts. I don't want to drill a dozen holes in the tailgate for the sheet metal mounting screws. Has anyone used an adhesive to secure the tailgate matt instead of screws ??

Thank you.

I always have an industrial strength roll of 2" velcro in my shop - have mounted many things with it over the years. My amp inside the fairing of my Harley has been held in with velcro for many years now without issue.

I used some heavy duty 2 sided tape about 1 inch wide. First I removed the access panel and lined it up and drilled holes for each of the panel screws.. The factory screws were long enough to secure mat and panel. I then used the tape around the edges. Been a year and it's still holding.
