Tailgate fob disable

I have inadvertently opened my gate a couple times hitting the gate button on the fob while the key was in my pocket. Does anyone know how this feature can be disabled on the fob?

As far as I know there isn't a way. I wish there was as I've also hit the button in my pocket accidentally only to come out and find my tailgate down at work.

Doesn't Sync have a power tailgate control? Seems like I've seen something tailgate related.

On my 21 Lariat. I disabled remote tailgate on my in dash screen. I can only open it by manually pushing the button under the handle.
