I did on my 2011 F150 XLT...worked not bad...did not like the cold tho...lol... but neither do I .

I tried it on my 2011. It broke quickly and went in trash can.

The current generation trucks have the better OEM version and I'm a fan.

I ordered the OEM option for my XL RCSB. Because why not. Hardly any options to choose so I chose most of them all together.

I got the OEM one as well on my 24 RCSB. Works great and can’t even see it.

You made me go look as I always thought mine had something and it has a damper on. Must be a trim level thing because I never bought one unless it came with the step tailgate.

Behind right side taillight inside the wall of truck bed. I believe it is there on all but XL trim but easy to add.

I did and like it. I've had mine almost a year and it's still working fine. Since I have a regular cab I open the gate often.

Yeah, went with the OEM. As long as you have a good torx bit it's an easy add.

I did the oem ford one on my 22xlt Rc . Works great and hidden just like the others said.
