So now I have a mess of wires in my lap. I can see the screen of my phone but getting no audio. I also have lost Sirius satellite radio. It shows a hardware problem on the Sirius screen. Gah, should have left it alone. ?‍♂

Ok. Returned wiring to stock and it worked as normal. Reattached the naviks harness and the initial error went away. I didn’t have the main plug connected all the way in. Now I get my normal Sirius functions etc. But when I switch to naviks I get video with no audio. Does that not travel with the video via hdmi?

Like i have said many times you have to to USB stick with a song on it to get audio and make sure the little wire that says aux is plugged in

Put a usb stick in and select that as your source. I leave my song playing all the time on repeat. Then you just have to select usb as audio source and flip to screen and audio will be their. Its the only way it can be done as ford removed the AUX inputs and Bluetooth doesn't sync motion to audio that well.

Sorry, when I say no audio I mean when I play a video on the screen. I have Netflix going and I can see the screen but cannot hear anything. I have an hdmi adapter plugged in to my phone.

So I need a usb stick with mp3’s loaded and plugged in down in the center console? That will trigger the truck to let me choose that as my source for audio, then when I switch to naviks I will hear my audio? Sorry, it wasn’t clear what you meant before but thank you for the info!

If I am understanding him correctly, you need to trick the system into playing the audio on your video by selecting USB as the sound source. He says he has a USB stick plugged in with one song on repeat. When you are playing the video, switch you audio source to the USB stick and the audio from the video will be heard.

I did manage to get it to work without the USB stick. I have an iPhone cable in the front center console cubby. I launched a video app (Hulu/Netflix etc.) from my phone and plugged that cable in. It switched the audio to USB. Then I unplugged from that cable and plugged in the HDMI one (that I have in the left center console pocket by the driver's right knee). It then plays video and audio. Just another way to do what you were describing above, I think. I had live Hulu playing on the way to work this morning. Wasn't watching it except at red lights, but wanted to test it out. Works great.

I wonder if I could use this to display the camera feed from inside our horse trailer? I currently have a small monitor (7”) on a mount I put in the cup holder. It works good but it’s a pain pulling it in and out. Not to mention it takes up a lot of console space. The feed from the camera is analog, but I’m sure I could convert that. It would definitely be worth the money not to deal with another monitor.

Has anybody used this system to add additional cameras? Which cameras did you go with?

My order is not coming with the 360 due to a mixup. Now I'm looking to see what options I have to add cameras.

As long at the cameras have HDMI output I see no reason it wont.

Ordered mine last week, finally came in today. Didn’t take long to install. Plug and play for sure. Didn’t come with a manual but the videos they posted on install was simple enough to follow.

Pushing the back button on the steering wheel never worked for me. There is a wire with a button included that plugs into the mode port of the unit. That button is used to activate it.
So far it’s working as described. I have an Amazon FireTV stick plugged in and it works!

When I have more time I’d like to get some cameras hooked up to it. I have the 360 cams already but wanted a trailer camera option and also with a bed topper my bed cam is blocked now. This will definitely fill in those gaps.

I was going to get the Ford trailer camera setup but due to parts shortage and my 2021 job 1 truck they didn’t prewired it so I’d need to get a different wire harness which is back ordered. This is a cheaper route than the Ford options and plus it adds other video functionality.
