yes you can plug your phone in and use it like a media box. netflix , hulu etc. I know it works on iphone very easy just use adapter and plug in pops right up. It also rotates videos and adjust the resolution. No park requirements works in motion but i do not recommend watching in motion.
How was the install? I watched the video but it looked like they had pre-loosened some of the clips etc. I'm always leery of taking apart the dash on a brand new (and very expensive) vehicle, but I've been doing custom stereo installs etc. since I was a kid. I just always worry about scratching one of the trim pieces or breaking off a tab that one of the metal clips attach to because it's too tight. Did it all come apart and go back together pretty easily with no damage?
no issues taking apart our installing. But i have taking it apart several times trying to figure out different ways to do this.

I dont understand your question. But I don’t know how they are using to stock usb port to take over audio. But in order for it to work you have to have a song on a jump drive to hear audio.
I was hoping they would see the benefit of a non-camera solution, but apparently it's the other way. I have no market research on this, so maybe they are correct in their direction. I don't think they've actually considered the HDMI only market though based on their response. Of course the people they see are only looking to get cameras, that is what their product is centered around. Doesn't mean there isn't a market for HDMI only.

Of course you can but once you switch to the screen it will take over your usb and whatever music your listening too.
