Hey everyone. Bought a new 2022 F150 in Feb of this year. I can't get anyone at Ford to share a list of Updates that have been made. My latest update according to my Ford App is May 3rd. Ford Power-Up 4.2.4. Sync V 23031_Product Revision: 713. According to Ford there were several updates through March and April but I was never notified about them like I was on May 3rd and and earlier one in Feb. I find it hard to believe that there hasn't been any updates since May.

Is this normal that Ford goes more than 3 months without an update?

My system is very flaky....these things happen:
  1. Backup camera sometimes stays on when I put the truck in drive. About 60 seconds later the system reboots.
  2. The button to turn the screen to black does not work...it did when I first bought it.
  3. If the radio was on when I turn the truck off it does not come back on when I restart the truck. I think CarPlay interrupts it.
  4. The system reboots itself on occasion.
  5. The Drive Mode always goes to Normal even if I had it in Sport or Eco for example. 2-3 times I had the truck ask if I wanted to continue using a specific mode when I restarted. This has not happened in a long time. Hard to believe this is normal.

I'm sure there are a couple more things I'm forgetting.

So my question is are these normal things we just have to put up with or should/can Ford fix them? Spent some hard earned money this darn thing and I feel like the Sync system should be flawless! Not to much to ask is it???

Thanks for any help or advice you can give. Russ

Would like to know this as well. I have a '22 Lariat and I'm impatiently waiting for Blue Cruise. Anyone have and idea how they're rolling this out?

Lmfaoooooo. Perfection does not exist. If it did, Sync would not be synonymous with it. 4.2.4 is the latest update for your truck. The rebooting of the screen is not normal. Many people have reported Carplay issues with the newer updates. I would recommend using the wired connection instead of wireless for better results. Also, try an APIM reset. With the truck on, hold the radio power button and forward seek button until the screen reboots.

Edit: All the known OTA's for our trucks are in the first post of the link below. Please note this is maintained by the community here and is a work in progress. Ford does have a systematic way in which OTA's are sent out, nor do they keep records of the updates sent out for public access.

What are you waiting for exactly? Unlike early 2021 trucks, 2022 trucks were built with the software for bluecruise from the factory.

Then what's the secret here? I have all the proper settings turned on and have yet to see it work. I live in the Dallas area so it's not like I got a bunch of unknown roads.

Where would I find this? As Im looking around I'm thinking I don't have the vehicle and/or software update for it
I think in the "about sync" page on your touchscreen. With your VIN, I can check your update status.

Thanks. Between the app, touch screen, etc I'm clueless with this stuff.

The good news, your truck is up to date as far as OTA's go.

The bad news: Your truck does not have Bluecruise as an option. You have Ford Copilot 360 2.0. Bluecruise is not included in that.

Mine does #1 and it is supposed to. There might be a time limit and there is a speed limit. It does not reboot afterwards though.

Never tried #2

#3 is NA for me.

#4 happened on mine twice yesterday but never before.

#5 is, as far as I know, normal, or has been on mine from day 1.

Kinda what I was thinking. Appreciate you looking.

I set mine to "Slippery" yesterday (lot of rain, and I had never tried Slippery before) and when restarting it asked if I wanted to resume "Slippery". I said NO. Truck went back to "Normal" mode but stayed in 4H. Silly!!! Come on Ford!!! My theory is that it will ask to resume a mode if that mode is 4WD...but...if I say no it should go back to "Normal" or even better, the mode it was in before the change. Silly!
