I purchased a 2025 with the B&O Unleashed, as I was trying my hardest not to do another system. I know lots of people don't like it but for what I'm looking to get out of it, it works for the most part (100x better then the Bose system I had in the Silverado). I knew I'd eventually do something with the sub and I ordered a SGS Stealth v2 enclosure and I paired it up with a JL VX1000 I had from my last truck. After I got the enclosure installed, I put the RTA on it and I was surprised at how the OEM curve looked for mids and highs. The green line is no EQ'ing and the SGS @ about 30% output on the JL remote knob. The red is with EQ set and about 40%. The blue is with EQ and about 50% output. The only part of that curve I have control over is from about 100Hz down so the rest of that curve is factory set.

That looks like a pretty well tuned factory system there. Looks like you used REW RTA to measurre that. Did you use a UMIK-1 microphone in a figure 8 pattern around your head while seated? I have the itch to do my truck again. I have AutoFrog GB10, GB25, GB60, and GB12 drivers just sitting in the attic and a JL VXI 800/8i.

I had an incredible system in my 2014 F-f150 RCLB. It had JL C5 woofers and Audiofrog GB25 mids, and GB10 tweeters. I made a custom ported box tuned to 32 hertz with a 10” Sundown Audio subwoofer right behind my seat. The songs from New Order-Blue Monday and Dire Straights Money for Nothing sounded so good in that truck. Midbass was chest pounding 😁. Miss those days!

Yes, that shot is REW. I did it after using JL TuN and using it's measuring function. When I tuned my last truck, TuN didn't have a measure function. I've used REW for a while and wanted to make sure it matched up with the TuN software. I used a Behringer ECM 8000 with a MXL Mic Mate preamp. Since the only thing I could tune is 100Hz and below I did multiple runs from the center of the driver's seat.

Same here. I have a 800/8i as well and a mix of Stevens Audio and Stereo Integrity mids/tweets just sitting around. Don't want to go down that rabbit hole again as that can be such a time suck. However, most of the work needed for that as been done. Double 1/0 runs from the battery, all doors and back wall sound deadend, block off plates on all four doors and amp rack. The hardest part would be to run tweeter wires and "customize" the A pillars to fit the SA tweeters. In a single weekend that could be easily done. I hope the left side of my brain doesn't catch up with the right side of my brain, LOL.

I always thought Stevens Audio made decent equipment. Stereo Integrity maybe was hit or miss but I never used them myself but I have listened to their mids and tweeters and their subs. You’re 75% there now if you already did all that prep. If you ever need good sound deadening then try ResoNix Sound Solutions. I know the owner Nick and he is top notch and so are his products.

Thanks, however if I keep this truck for how long I intend, this will be the last vehicle I personally install deadening. The only thing I was considering is maybe some Blackhole tiles in the door if I do drop in new mids. For now the deadening I have in there I feel is good for the oem drivers.

Best bang for the buck on improvements to the mid-bass are the door blockokk plates from Sounds good stereo. I swapped out the craptastic OEM speakers for Kicker CS and DS three-ways and was still left wanting. Added the plates and they brought the non-B&O sound system to life. Can only imagine how much better the B&O would sound.

I definitely noticed a difference after doing it. It wasn't like night and day difference but well worth doing.

Amazing response... gotta love REW (of course I wouldn't be biased in any way).

It's amazing what sound deadening and the tiles combined can do with the block off plates to help better seal the doors. For every day listening... perfect. Obviously, if I were competing, I'd replace everything, but I ain't and won't be. I do believe adding a JL Stealth box or similar with a good amp is worth it... just makes the entire system sound better.

Well that only took 2 months. Moving to an aftermarket sub has highlighted how crappy the midbass is with the stock door speakers. I'm going with SI TM8s in the doors for a 3-way setup up front. Going to use the new SI M22 tweeters which look like they will go right in the stock pillar location. Haven't decided on mids yet due to the passenger side depth limitation.

Look at the AudioFrog GB25 midrange drivers. They are amazing especially for their size.
