I’ve never seen a pd added to a current 5.0 or gm 6.2 that didn’t lose at least 3mpg in a car or truck.
So not sure what’s going on there but I wouldn’t complain lol
I think it might be that the truck mileage already sucks so it’s not doing too much. I’ve had 9 different supercharged setups in LS, Hemi and Coyote and your right most lose 3 or more (my GT350 lost 10 lol) so I’m definitely not complaining about the mileage. The custom tune I just got Friday is a little concerning to me but I’m working that out.

Is it realistic to do on a daily driver that I put lots of miles on, mostly highway? Some offroad, very little city.

That is more a personal preference, I think. I have mine installed on my daily driver (25k miles a year), but my previous ones were not. It doesn't affect mileage enough for me to have a separate vehicle just to mod and sit in the garage. It says in the manual that the supercharger oil needs to be changed at 100k miles which could take a long time (remove the blower) but is the only thing I think that would require a lot of work. Plugs every 20k kind of sucks and using 5w50 full synthetic now so that's a little pricier.
You think they would come up with a drain/fill kit to install on the blower so you wouldn't have to remove it (kinda like the bleed kit for the corvette slave cylinder)

See, I blame my 2020 3.5 EB and the pulling it did accelerating from light to light, I miss that. Although now that I've driven a 5.0L the acceleration is more linear. I always felt like I had to adjust my right foot more often in my 3.5. I think the SC is more for light to light (you don't have to floor it all the time) and can still be your DD...

The reality is that engine and fuel flow designers know that boost can bring you closer to detonation. Direct injection ameliorates that for the most part yet, the way they protect the engine is to enrichen the mixture. On the other hand... I ran experiments climbing South Pass in Wyoming. Some runs on boost and some keeping the gears such that boost was not used. I saw little difference in MPG.

So that means it can get close to 20 with 33's, gingerly driving it at 65-70mph with a lot of "vacuum driving."

I was not aware about the frequent plug changes. That's a turn off.

Yea its going to suck for me as I do 3k miles a month at least.
Plus our plugs are like 120-140 a set through Ford performance. I had my parts counter start carrying them so I could just go in and buy them.

I've still been thinking about going with a Roush but this alone may be the nail in the coffin. I'd be changing plugs every 2-3 months with an oil change, no thanks!

Oh wow, plugs every 10K miles, I read if you have 10K or more at install time you needed to change them, but I didn't take that to mean you will be changing them every 10K miles o_O

My bad it’s every 20k miles. You are correct in that initial install is over 10k to change them the first time.
