Sunroof Leak

One of the drains is probably clogged.
Sucks the speaker is now garbage. Hopefully the warranty covers everything.

My worst fear, when getting my truck with a moonroof.
questions:

1. What plug are we referring to?
2. Can you see anything from outside?
3. Can you provide pictures of the corner of the glass, or where you suspect the issue?

There are drains at the front and rear of the moonroof channels on both sides that exit at the bottom of the A and C pillars. They need to be kept clear. You can use compressed air.

I agonized over the decision for a sunroof or not. For this very reason I finally decided to forgo the sunroof and save the 1500 dollars. I have piece of mind that my sunroom will never leak because there isn't one. Sorry this happened to you. I am sure they will fix it. Fingers crossed this doesn't happen again down the road.

yup. I have never had a sun/moon roof that did not leak. not worth the hassle.

Had them before without issue, but i never used them, so, i ordered without to eliminate that possibility and save money to boot. Way to many that have waterleaks and that shouldn't be happening in the first place. Maybe ford should use larger drain hoses to allow debits to go through easier. In any case, if you decide to blow air in them, be careful and dont use to much pressure and blow the hose off the nipple it's likely attached to, unless they're possibly clamped on

Here the fall and winter up north the huge sunroof is a blessing for getting some rays. The days are so short and helps me get some feeling of sun even without opening it

A piece of grass trimmer line works well for clearing them.

Love-hate relationship with the panoramic roof. Absolutely awesome when I want it, but admittedly rare in tropics.

This latest truck I special ordered without it. I had some angst since I intend it to be a keeper, but now a few months in its more relief that I don't have it than regret.

With proper care and maintenance though, I've always had good luck with them.

I never had one that leaked including the one on a car built in 2005 that I still own, still bone dry even in the worst downpour. Non of them were Ford or panoramic though

They have the remove the entire sunroof to get to any inner workings or seals. I went with no sun roof on my 2021 after what I went thru on my 18.
