Ford will notify you of unusual behavior via the FordPass® app and if your truck is stolen, our 24/7 dedicated call center will help with recovery. 
 
2024 F-150 models come with a 1-year service plan included – no credit card necessary. All you need is an active modem and then you can activate the feature in your Ford account online or in the FordPass app.

Also, if you do subscriptions, I won't buy them. It actually actively pisses me off to have to subscribe to something I already bought on a 65 fucking thousand dollar XLT.

I'd like to see what the cost is after the free 1 year. I think you get a small discount on your insurance with something like this so it could be a wash as far as overall cost goes.

That is if they do not go for the total gauge.

I doubt any insurance discount. I'm not aware of a discount for similar aftermarket services. As stated elsewhere on forum unless they added a battery backup system and extra antenna buried in a difficult location this "service" is pointless. It would take seconds for a determined thief to disconnect the onboard modem for our trucks. No internet, no location.

That was me that pointed that out. You'd be far better spending your money on a third party solution. Thieves will eventually figure out an OEM solution. A third party solution is a bit more involved and if there's easier targets nearby they'll go for those.

Lojack almost always gave you a discount on your insurance. If you speak with insurance reps, that is usually a question they ask you when they are looking for discounts. Anti theft and theft recovery locator discounts are usually a main stay in the industry.

How about an option to remove the infringements on my privacy and government control to "turn off" our vehicles from the vehicle altogether? After reading the "Data Privacy" pages of the 2024 owners manual, I almost cancelled my order.....
