Noticed that the leather shroud covering the steering column came lose and upon inspection realized most of the clips holding it down had completely broken off (no idea how, my guess is the heat) I can’t seem to find anything online about this, so my question is what is the best route to go about repairing this?

Ouch. Probably going to have to replace the cover with a new one. Maybe get some new clips and wiggle them in the cover somehow.

A few small well-placed dabs of RTV silicone should keep that in place; respect the 24-hour full-cure time. If you ever need to remove it, you can peel it back as you slice it with a razor blade.

Yeah, sort of a 'hack', but I bet it will work and be invisible.

BTW, it's vinyl, not leather.

what year is your truck? Would certainly be under warranty if it’s a newer model. Have you had any service done that we have necessitated removing that cover? Clips like this only get broke due to removing a component or cover.

You might try an upholstery shop. Of course, if you’re under warranty to go to the dealer. If you’re wanting to repair yourself, buy a new part.

The OP's sidebar info says 2021 Lariat - likely well beyond the B-to-B warranty coverage, and no other warranty covers 'trim' issues.
